Josh Allen

Just as Tom Brady has left the division and left the door open for the next great QB in the AFC East, Josh Allen of the Bills has thrown his name in the ring.

After a mediocre first couple of seasons in Buffalo, Allen exploded on to the scene last year. Playing in the same number of games as the previous season, Allen threw for 1,500 more yards and 17 more touchdowns in 2020. He ended last season in the top-5 of nearly every important statistical category for quarterbacks. He finished second in MVP voting, and led the Bills to their first division championship since 1995.

Josh Allen loves playing against the Dolphins. He boasts a 5-1 record against Miami, two more wins than he has against any other team. He has passed for 17 touchdowns on their defense, a whopping 25 percent of his total career scores. He has not thrown more than 7 on any other team.

The Dolphins will of course play against the Bills twice, with both meetings coming during the first half of the season. Miami’s first home game will be Week 2 against Buffalo, giving them an early test by starting out against two division opponents. If the Dolphins are able to steal a game from Allen and company, it will give them an early-season boost during a tough stretch of the schedule. The second meeting with come on Halloween morning, so Miami should benefit from not having to visit Northwestern New York during the winter months.
