Deshaun Watson

No one really knows what the future holds for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The off-season has already been a tumultuous one for the four-year pro. The public was made aware of his trade demands early on, and there was plenty of speculation about where Watson might end up. His relationship with the Texans’ front office had obviously soured, and he indicated that he would not be reporting to any team activities.

While rumors about his playing future lingered, rumors of the legal kind began to form for Watson. More than 20 women came forth claiming sexual assault by the quarterback, a situation that is still unresolved. Paused are the trade talks, and there are questions about whether Watson will be able to play at all this year.

But for the sake of this piece, let’s say he does. The Dolphins will host the Texans in a meeting of two teams headed in opposite directions, thanks in large part to each other. While Houston may not be a huge threat overall, Watson is. He is one of the most dynamic players in the league and can give a defense fits, even one that ranked near the top last season.
