Do the Miami Dolphins have the best WR group in the AFC East?

#1. Buffalo Bills

The Bills get the nod at number one on this list over the Dolphins simply due to familiarity and experience. Stephon Diggs led the NFL in receptions and yards last season, and was the undisputed favorite target of the MVP runner-up from 2020. He is far and away the best wide receiver in the division and the main reason why Buffalo’s pass-catching unit is ranked in the top 5 of Pro Football Focus’s standings.

But there are other guys who present a problem to opposing defenses as well. Cole Beasley racked up nearly 1,000 yards himself, and Gabriel Davis went for another 600. They lost John Brown, who played only eight games for them, but brought in Emmanuel Sanders, a guy who has caught 70+ balls in six of the last seven seasons.

Do I believe that the Dolphins core of pass catchers has more upside and potential than that of the Bills? Yes, and especially if we add Mike Gesicki to the list, who lines up out wide almost as often as he lines up as a tight end. His presence will be a game changer for Miami, and the reason why the Dolphins could finish the season with the best group of pass-catchers in the AFC East.
