Miami Dolphins will host Atlanta Falcons for a week of joint practices

The Miami Dolphins will play the Atlanta Falcons in pre-season and in the regular season but they will also share the practice field as well.
Arthur Clark, the new head coach of the Atlanta Falcons spoke with the media earlier and said that his team would conduct joint practices ahead of their pre-season game in August. The two teams will play in week 2 of the three-game exhibition season on August 21st.
The Dolphins will host them at their new training facility located in Miami Gardens on the grounds of Hard Rock Stadium. Miami will vacate their old facility at Nova Southeastern University after the OTA sessions later this month are concluded.
The new facility is located outside of Hard Rock Stadium by the tennis courts and is a state-of-the-art facility that will house all of the Dolphins’ football operations and business operations. There are two full-size fields and an indoor facility as well. Fan bleachers will get covers. It will be really cool to watch the team practice in the shadow of their stadium.
The Dolphins have consistently practiced against pre-season opponents and this year they won’t have to travel to do so. It is a little surprising that the teams would opt to practice together give the fact they face each other in the regular season.
Miami’s first pre-season game will be at 1:00 on August 14th and their last one will be a 4:00 game on August 29th. The regular season will start two weeks later with the traditional Thursday night kick-off.
