Outside of adding Malcom Brown, the Dolphins did very little when it came to upgrading the running back positions which tells me one of two things.

The first is that they missed out on various opportunities or did not want to overpay. It was rumored that the team was linked to various running backs such as Chris Carson and Aaron Jones, both of whom decided to resign with their respective teams.

The second is that the Dolphins genuinely view Myles Gaskin as a legit NFL starter. Gaskin definitely proved it last year after handling the bulk of the Dolphins carries in his second NFL season. Now heading into his third, it will be interesting to see how much of a leap Gaskin can make.

Of all Dolphins offensive players, Gaskin likely has the highest draft value. Besides rookie Jaylen Waddle, Gaskin offers a solid role as a running back, the most important position in all fantasy football, and can be viewed as a complete third down back.

Gaskin excels as both a runner and a pass catcher and, while it might be harder for him to catch the ball with all the new weapons, he should still be one of the leading scrimmage yards players on the Dolphins and a fantasy RB2.

Malcom Brown, Gerrid Doaks, and Salvon Ahmed could offer some upside if Gaskin goes down, but they could also take away goal line carries from the former Washington Husky running back.
