Myles Gaskin will get his chance to star in the Miami Dolphins offense and he showed last year that he can handle the bulk of the work during a game.

Gaskin is a fun player to watch and yet another in a long line of mid to late-round draft picks who have turned into starters. After seeing Jordan Howard start the 2020 season, Gaskin will be the day one starter in 2021 and with improved line play, he should be able to get close to the 1,000-yard rushing plateau.

Working against him is the fact he will have to split carries with other players. Salvon Ahmed, Malcolm Brown, and Gerrid Doaks could all take carries away from him but if he can get into an early game rhythm, the coaches may let him run as the hot hand or in this case, foot.

Gaskin has starting ability and experience. He can catch passes out of the backfield and make players miss at the line of scrimmage. He doesn’t hesitate in the backfield and is decisive in his running. He doesn’t fumble much either, two in 2 years.

In 10 games last year and on 142 attempts, Gaskin rushed for 584 yards. He should see a much larger role in 2021 and for that reason, he should see a big jump in production this year.
