3. Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard

Hopefully, Miami Dolphins All-Pro cornerback Xavien Howard remains with the team. Obviously, there are some behind-the-scenes issues with Howard and his want for a new contract. Howard was not at minicamp, and it has led to many people floating the idea of trading him away.

My take on this is to pay the man. I know it could set a bad precedent for other players who sign contracts and then want more money, but let’s face the facts. Howard had 10 interceptions last season. So if the bad precedent you set is paying a player again after they have a dominant All-Pro season, I think you are going to be okay.

Howard has earned every dollar he wants, and he is the best player on Miami’s roster. If Howard can have another great year with eight or more INTs, he has a chance to be on the Madden cover.

Howard has been getting love this offseason, with some having him ranked as high as the best cornerback in football and usually only as low as the top five.

Howard is a superstar, and that is why he would have a chance to be on the cover of Madden.

Next. One player that will make or break Tua Tagovailoa’s season. dark
