The Miami Dolphins’ first pick in the 2022 NFL Draft may very well be Aidan Hutchinson the big defensive lineman from Michigan.

Hutchinson will finish his senior season for the Wolverines after opting to not enter the draft in 2020. Currently, he is listed at 6-6″ 268 pounds and if he has another good season, his stock should rise but most believe him to be a late first-round player, for now.

The Dolphins could look to the defensive line given the fact that Christian Wilkins would be entering the final year of his rookie contract and while the Dolphins should be looking to pick up his 5th-year option, having another DT would make sense.

Miami is not as deep as they would like to be but they have a good rotation of Zach Sieler, Raekwon Davis, and Wilkins. Adding Hutchinson could make the front defensive line even better. The Dolphins need to get better against the run and Hutchinson could provide some help in that area.

Considering this is the Miami Dolphins, we can’t rule out a linebacker. Even though the Dolphins signed Jerome Baker to a long-term deal, Miami could still look to the outside and DeMarvion Overshown is a guy that could draw interest from Flores. A former safety, Overshown could be the answer to the opposite side of Jaelan Phillips if Emmanuel Ogbah doesn’t return and we know how much Brian Flores likes hybrid safeties.
