In round two the Miami Dolphins could go in several directions but with so much attention being paid to the offensive line the last couple of years, I think the focus stays on defense.

The Miami Dolphins love to keep addressing the secondary and this year should be no different aside from the fact they don’t have another first-round pick to use on one. Safety Jordan Battle would make a lot of sense and we continually see the Dolphins dip into the Alabama talent pool, but we also see many of the Alabama players going in round one. In this case, I think the Dolphins will stay at home and take University of Miami safety, Bubba Bolden.

The Dolphins don’t have a “need” for safety with Brandon Jones and Javon Holland set to be cornerstones in the future but Bolden could give the Dolphins another safety option that would allow more flexibility for Holland in the Dolphins defensive scheme.

Bolden would work well in a singular role for the Dolphins with Jones. Bolden looked good in 2020 and that development should continue into the 2021 season. He can play strong against the run and is good in coverage when needed but there is a lot of needed forward development but Bolden looks to be someone who is going to make those strides in 2021.
