Three rounds in and the Miami Dolphins are switching sides of the ball to the one area that they haven’t really addressed much in the last few years, running back.

With their third pick in the draft, the Dolphins are going to look at Master Teague of Ohio State. Teague wil get his first chance to be the primary running back for the Buckeyes this year after splitting the workload with Trey Sermon and playing behind J.K. Dobbins. Now, it’s time for Teague to prove that he can be the next elite running back fro the Buckeyes.

A good season will put Teague in line for a 3rd round selection but if he can show that as a full time starter he can carry the workload, he could see a jump into round two but for now, the mid to late third seems appropriate.

The Dolphins have not done much with running back over the years and have been more inclined recently to draft players in the 7th round. Last year it was Gerrid Doaks and Myles Gaskin was also a 7th round draft pick who will play the lead role in 2021. Still, the Dolphins at some point need to address the position and this year may be the one.
