Malcolm Brown talks business and the fit he sees with the Dolphins
By Brian Miller
The Miami Dolphins didn’t make any big moves in free agency for a top RB but Malcolm Brown is far from a slouch and he thinks Miami is a good fit.
Brown opted to trade coasts in free agency leaving sunny Los Angeles for the hot and humid city of Miami. He recently spoke with YouTuber Mr. Bowtie about his new business ownership, a gym as well as his move to Miami.
Brown said that he had “offers on the table” but chose Miami because he felt it was a better fit and that they had a mutual interest. Brown will compete for playing time with Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin but he should get enough reps to make the move a good one.
Since joining the Rams in 2015 as an undrafted free agent, Brown has only started two games in his career but he has appeared in 70 games. His rookie season saw only 1 game of action but since 2016, Brown has played in every game that he has been healthy enough to play in. He has 1,188 yards and 11 touchdowns in his career.
It will be interesting to see what Brown will bring to the Dolphins in 2021. He is on a one-year contract that will pay him $1.75 million guaranteed.
The Dolphins are hoping that the physical runner can shine in the Dolphins’ new offensive system but until we see him, and for that matter, anyone else on the field, we won’t truly know what this offense will look like.
Brown’s life outside of football is a good thing and showcases his commitment to his own health as well as helping others grow as well. Be sure to watch the video interview.
