Prediction 2: DeVante Parker makes the Pro Bowl…as an alternate

The development of DeVante Parker has been slow-going. But if the last two seasons are any indication, he is ready to put up big numbers in an expanded Dolphins offense. He might even make the Pro Bowl.

After amassing 1,202 yards in his first full 16 game season in 2019, Parker’s numbers took a dip last year due to team offensive woes as well as playing in only 14 contests. His yards per reception were down a full four, a statistic that should boost this season as Tagovailoa learns to stretch the field beyond 10-15 yards. He will see less pressure in coverage as well, as defenses will have to account for Fuller and Jaylen Waddle instead of Lynn Bowden Jr and Jakeem Grant.

The competition in the AFC will be the issue. Stephon Diggs and Tyreke Hill will likely hold their reign as starters, and Keenan Allen and A.J. Brown will be giving chase as well. But an alternate spot is certainly up for grabs. Depending on how Odell Beckham Jr and Jarvis Landry perform in Cleveland, and barring a newcomer bursting on to the scene, DeVante Parker could find himself in the mix for one of the final spots.
