Miami Dolphins fans may not get to see it but a Wild Cat package that features Lynn Bowden, Jr., Malcolm Perry, and Kai Locksley could be very exciting.

When you get into the dog days of July and not a ton is happening in the world of professional football and you want anything to happen that relates to your team so that you can digest and analyze it, you can easily start hallucinating about all sorts of things.

I’m no different and I just saw a vision that I’m sure is a mirage. Or, maybe I just channeled my inner Dr. Strange and looked into the future to see endless possibilities of the Dolphin’s upcoming season. There were some good outcomes in there like the Dolphins hoisting up the Lombardi and one where Tua ends up being Colin Cowherd’s boss and makes him dress up like a clown and forces him to talk about lacrosse.

Another future reality I saw was one where the two-headed monster of Godsey and Studesville put their mad scientist’s heads together to create a “Super Wildcat package” featuring Lynn Bowden Jr., Malcolm Perry, and Kai Locksley. I watched the outcome of this package and man alive was it a sight to see.

We know the Wildcat that was laid down by the 2008 Dolphins that featured Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Chad Pennington, and Patrick Cobbs. A more fantastic and lethal formation, though the shelf-life was really one year, I cannot recall. It nearly had everything, but even though Ronnie Brown was able to throw a little bit, he doesn’t have the passing chops that Bowden Jr., Perry, and Locksley have.

All three of these guys were quarterbacks in college, so they are quite capable of slinging it around the yard. I’m not saying that any of these guys were Andrew Luck or anything like that but all three of them are capable of throwing the rock along with taking off with it.

The 2008 Wildcat was a bit of an earthly version of the Wildcat. The Wildcat I’m proposing is one where that Wildcat got infused with the ooze from TMNT2. Now, this Super Wildcat has every member of it able to run and throw. That’s an element no Wildcat formation has ever seen. Add Tua to it and that’s four capable throwers. Good God that seems unstoppable.

Preferably, I would have Perry get the snap with Bowden Jr, coming motion. Tua would get motioned out of the backfield and Locksley could lineup in the backfield as well or as an H-back offsetting the tight end. The amount of chicanery that you can come up with is only limited by your imagination. Good thing the Dolphins employ two offensive coordinators. Honestly, with this formation, they might want to look into hiring a third coordinator. Like they say three heads are better than two.

I know what you’re saying to yourself, “Sern all of this sounds amazing and it’s something the Dolphins should definitely do but this would mean that Perry and Locksley would have to be part of the 53 man roster.” I realize that. I understand that this would bump out a talented receiver. My point maybe it’s worth shedding a nice receiver for a formation that will have defensive coordinators up all night trying to come up with a way to stop the Super Wildcat. I just think it’s something that Stone Cold Brian Flores needs to explore and it’s something I’m sure he’s doing his due diligence on.

This might not be the reality that we will witness. But a Super Wildcat featuring Bowden Jr., Perry, and Locksley is one that we might very well be experiencing in a few months. If so, look out world. Enjoy your Monday and trust me when I say that actual Miami Dolphins news that has a better chance of impacting the team is coming. Have fun with this and live.
