15-13 most important Miami Dolphins.

15. Robert Hunt

If 2020 second-round pick Robert Hunt were still playing right tackle, he would be higher on this list. However, Hunt is bumping inside to his more natural position at right guard. This is great news for Dolphins fans, as Hunt will be able to reach his full potential here. Hunt needs to obviously progress, but Miami putting him at guard over tackle will already improve his abilities.

Hunt will be an important piece for the Dolphins this year, and his mentorship to the other offensive lineman will be huge too. Although, Hunt is not the most important offensive lineman in 2021.

14. Jaelan Phillips

Some fans may think I have 2021 first-round pick Jaelan Phillips too high on this list, as many may think he should not even be on here. However, in my opinion, Phillips will be essential for Miami in his rookie season. The Dolphins will need elite pass-rushers if they are going to win games, and Phillips should bring the juice for Miami.

Phillips’ role should increase as the year goes on, and Miami will need him to play at a Defensive Player of the Year level right away. If Phillips shines in Year 1, Miami’s defense will likely be top five in the NFL.

13. Myles Gaskin

RB1! That is what Dolphins running back Myles Gaskin currently is. I say currently because I do have a sneaky suspicion that Miami will add a veteran who is cut during training camp. I would keep an eye on current New England Patriots running back Sony Michel. However, for now, Gaskin is still RB1, and he is a very good running back.

Gaskin does not get the love he deserves, but he is a solid option for Miami. If he can run hard and stay healthy, Miami’s offense will be better because of it.
