12-10 most important Miami Dolphins.

12. Liam Eichenberg

The 2021 second-round pick was clearly a big target for the Miami Dolphins, as they overpaid to trade up for him. Eichenberg is slated to start at right tackle in his rookie season, which is more significant than some realize. Tagovailoa is a lefty, so Eichenberg will protect the starting quarterback’s blindside in his first season.

Some may have him higher on their list, but that may be too high of expectations for a first-year player that was not playing right tackle in college. Eichenberg will surely have some growing pains in his first season, but he is important for the Dolphins’ success in 2021.

11. Jevon Holland

Just like Eichenberg, 2021 second-round pick Jevon Holland is important for Miami’s success in 2021. It is looking like the former Oregon Ducks defensive back will have a prominent role for the defense in his first season. Miami released Bobby McCain, which shows they have confidence in Holland.

NFL Network’s Maurice Jones-Drew gave a huge shoutout to Holland, saying he is the most versatile player in the NFL, as a rookie!

10. Mike Gesicki

The Mike Gesicki slander this offseason has been wild. I guess you could say I am party responsible for it after conducting the Kyle Pitts train, but Pitts is long gone and the former Florida Gators star will thrive in Atlanta. While Pitts may win Offensive Rookie of the Year, Gesicki is a player that Miami really needs to count on this season.

Gesicki had a solid year in 2020, but he needs to be even better in 2021. Having a dominant tight end in the NFL is how you can win Super Bowls, so Gesicki needs to take that next step for the Dolphins because they are counting on him.
