Miami Dolphins training camp offensive power rankings

3. Tua Tagovailoa
Heading into his second year in the NFL, there is no player on the Dolphins that fans all over the league are interested to see how he does. Tagovailoa showed promise at multiple points last season but also struggled heavily in his rookie season.
In year two Tagovailoa will not only have new weapons at his disposal, a much improved offensive line but two brand new offensive coordinators as well. While the biggest question mark of the three is the fact that we aren’t sure what the offense will be, it should feature more downfield passing thanks to the additions of Fuller and Waddle.
Tagovailoa’s second season should not be seen as a make it or break it season, but it will be highly scrutinized if he cannot put it together. Both Justin Herbert and Joe Burrow, the two quarterbacks also drafted in the top-10 in the 2020 NFL draft, have shown major promise as NFL superstars and franchise quarterbacks. Situation is important, but Tagovailoa has a long way to go.
The Miami Dolphins offense is filled with weapons that fill a variety of different roles and skillsets, with a well-rounded offensive skill group at hand Tagovailoa should succeed. However, if he fails to find a groove, free-agent quarterback Jacoby Brissett could step in, but that is highly unlikely.
