Raekwon Davis got Brian Flores all excited when he was drafted in 2020’s second round and after a pretty good rookie year, Davis is showing that it was not a fluke.

Davis has been disruptive up front and looks stronger by some who have seen him at training camp. While Christian Wilkins is having a solid but quiet camp, Davis is giving Dolphins fans a reason to believe this year’s run defense will be better. It needs to be and Davis needs to be a big part of that front defensive line.

For years the Dolphins struggled with drafting quality players in the second round and it became quite the joke but now we are seeing players like Davis and Holland making impacts and Xavien Howard is the best CB in the league and the highest-paid.

Davis still has room to develop and get better and that is a scary thought because he is already showing that he could be in line for a Pro Bowl consideration as early as this year. We will see but the progress is starting to show. If Davis continues on this trajectory, he and Wilkins could form a formidable front for the Dolphins and that would create a big defensive powerhouse.
