Philadelphia Eagles OT Andre Dillard:

Now this one will be a little tricky sell. On the surface, Andre Dillard was a first-round pick for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019. Dillard was one of the best pass-protecting tackles in the draft, and the Eagles took him to replace future Hall of Fame left tackle Jason Peters. The only problem was that Dillard wasn’t ready in Year 1 and got injured in Year 2.

In Year 3, he will likely lose the left tackle job to former rugby player Jordan Mailata, so there are some major red flags here.

Dillard played a game at right tackle during his rookie season and played some of the worst football I have ever covered. However, he’s an option and on a cheap rookie contract, too, so maybe Miami tries to revive his career already.

Jacksonville Jaguars OT Jawaan Taylor:

Like Dillard, Jacksonville Jaguars’ offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor was taken early in the 2019 NFL Draft. Jacksonville took the former Florida Gator with the 35th overall pick, and he has started all 32 games since.

While that stat is promising, Taylor has not played the best football in those 32 starts.

Taylor led the NFL in a stat you don’t want to lead the NFL in, pressures. He allowed 56 last year, and he was 10th in his rookie season with 41. So there is some risk here, but he is young and talented. Maybe the Dolphins believe they can help get the most out of him, as he’s only 23 years old.

Carolina Panthers OT Greg Little:

This slide is the 2019 NFL Draft slide! The Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Greg Little was the 37th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft but has only started six games.

Like the two other tackles mentioned, Little has tons of talent, but it just hasn’t come together for him yet. Little is likely on the roster bubble for the Panthers, so Miami could likely get him for a sixth or seventh-round pick.

Little has struggled to stay healthy in his career, and when he was healthy, he’s struggled. But just like the other two players on this slide, Miami could see that as a challenge to get the most out of him.
