San Francisco 49ers RB Wayne Gallman

Wayne Gallman was signed by the 49ers this offseason as a free agent. It was just a one-year deal, but Gallman chose to sign with the 49ers over any other teams. San Francisco then drafted two running backs in the 2021 NFL Draft, highlighted by former Ohio State running back Trey Sermon.

The 49ers running back room is loaded with talented players, most notably Raheem Mostert. They also have Jeff Wilson Jr., so you can see that the room is crowded, and the 49ers will have to make a touch cut.

I think that cut will be Gallman, who doesn’t really fit in their future plans anymore. If Gallman is cut, I think he would be a sneaky add by Miami because he has tons of talent.

Gallman started ten games last season for the New York Giants and had 682 yards and six scores. His 4.6 yards per carry was a career-high, and he showed lots of promise. Gallman runs hard and would be a perfect compliment next to Gaskin and Ahmed. He would not cost much either, but he would be a running back Miami could trust.
