Pittsburgh Steelers RB Benny Snell Jr.

Benny Snell Jr. is an interesting name and not a popular one. It would be a surprise if Pittsburgh released their former fourth-round pick, but Pittsburgh may be ready to move on after another preseason where he has been banged up and not showed much.

Snell is currently listed as Pittsburgh’s No. 2 running back, behind Miami Dolphins fan-favorite Najee Harris. Dolphins fans wanted Harris more than any other player in the draft, but Miami passed on Harris to draft edge defender Jaelan Phillips.

Some fans are still not happy about this move, but Miami could get Harris’ backup in Pittsburgh to try and soften the blow.

Like all of the running backs on this list, Snell would fit the running back by committee approach perfectly. He could give you solid value on first and second down, and then you can bring Gaskin or Ahmed in on 3rd down.

Snell has a ton of talent, and he showed that when he started and played in a few games last season. Miami would be smart to try and sign him if he is not on the Steelers 53-man roster because he would be one of the best running backs on Miami’s roster.
