Jason Taylor, when he wasn’t throwing out backhanded statements about how Tua was throwing the ball even when he was dropping dimes, was talking well about how the fans at Hard Rock Stadium were doing wave after wave. How cool is that? The answer is that it is very cool. Some folks online said that they haven’t seen anything like that, especially at a preseason game, in nearly forever. That’s the energy that the fanbase has about this team. It’s what a fanbase does when there are real expectations. There haven’t been real expectations, expectations that are sustained with real players and coaches in years. That’s why multiple waves happen at preseason games. Average teams don’t get waves. Teams that matter and ones that folks think are actually worth a damn get waves. I’m looking forward to more big-time waves.

I have to be honest here. It was a pleasure to write about all of these positive aspects of the game against the Falcons. I know it won’t always be this way but we’re going to ride this wave of fun as long as I can which will probably only be a few days.
