5 semi-surprising Miami Dolphins player cuts to get to 53
By Brian Miller
is a great story and someone who probably shouldn’t have found the success he has had in the NFL but don’t say he has a handicap. Griffin was released this off-season by the Seattle Seahawks and the Dolphins added him for camp.
Griffin didn’t look bad and showed up with a great attitude but unfortunately, he may have run into a numbers game that simply didn’t have room for him. What is surprising is that Griffin was let go over Duke Riley who really hasn’t done much while with Miami. Many fans were not thrilled to see Griffin’s name over Riley but Brian Flores has much more experience with Riley than he did with Griffin.
If we are being honest, Griffin will likely play somewhere else this season but there is always the possibility that he could opt to sign onto the Dolphins practice squad. I just think he will get a better offer tomorrow to play somewhere else.
Griffin may have had a better shot to make the roster if he had been around the team for the entire offseason, instead, he came on board a couple of days before camp.
