Week 7: vs Atlanta (Win 5-2)

No bye week this year after the London game. The Dolphins get right back to Miami where they host the Falcons. The Falcons just traded away Julio Jones and they look to be somewhere in between a rebuild and wildcard contender. I think this is a matchup that easily favors the Dolphins. The defense makes the big difference when they slow down the Falcons offense. The Dolphins win by double digits as they get ready for a very tough road game.

Week 8: at Buffalo (Loss, 5-3)

After back-to-back wins, the Dolphins have some momentum going into Buffalo for a halloween matchup. The last time the Dolphins went into Buffalo and won was for an overtime win in 2016. A win over Buffalo in general is long overdue, but I think the wait continues. The Bills are arguably a Super Bowl contender this year and I believe it will just be too much of a task for this young Dolphins team to win in Buffalo. They keep it close, but the home opener in Week 2 is the best chance to upset Buffalo.

Week 9: vs Houston (Win, 6-3)

After a tough road loss, the Dolphins come back home for a date with the rebuilding Texans. They are clearly one of the worst teams in the league this year, even if superstar Deshaun Watson eventually gets onto the field. This should not be a game at all, the Dolphins win big at home.

Week 10: vs Baltimore – TNF (Loss, 6-4)

This is a very good test in primetime to see where exactly this Dolphins team is at. I think they matchup well with the Ravens at home. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense will definitely be a problem, so it will be interesting to see if the Dolphins defense can slow them down. It is also going to be intriguing to see how Tua looks against one of the top defenses in the league. I think the Ravens take this one, but I think the Dolphins keep it within one score.
