To paraphrase Charlie Day “let me tell you a little lesson buddy, the cream always rises to the top.” That’s what has to happen for the Dolphins. The best players, their players who are getting paid a ton of money, and their players who are looking to get paid a ton of money need to show up and they need to excel. Yes, all 53 players have to perform. And sure, it be great if the backup defensive tackle or 4th receiver balls out. But you know what, this team needs its best and starting players who are big-name guys to step up and show why people should care about them.

I don’t care what talking head, pundit, or Twitter voice tells you that the Patriots have a superior team compared to the Dolphins. That’s simply isn’t true. Top to bottom, the Dolphins have a more talented roster. Does that mean it’s a slam dunk that Miami wins? Not at all. I’m saying that based on their players, they have a better chance to win. Coaching, circumstances, and even luck need to be taken into account in every game. But I’ll never be convinced that man for man, pound for pound that the Patriots have the more talented roster. And if the Dolphins main guys do what they’re capable of doing do, what they’re getting paid tons to do, then the Dolphins should win this game.

Prediction- Dolphins 27 Patriots 23

I have Miami going on the road, in week one, and beating the Patriots. I think Tua plays well, doesn’t turn the ball over and the defense makes Mac Jones have to throw the ball a little more than what’s expected. Also, the Dolphin’s special teams outplay the Patriots’ special teams. That will have a major impact.

Enjoy the game, have great stuff to drink and eat and let’s get after it this year.
