Stony Brook at #4 Oregon
Where to watch: PAC12 7:30 PM (ET)
Stony Brook won’t stand out as the NFL powerhouse, but Oregon’s impressive upset win over Ohio State should have fans asking for more. In what could seem like a “trap game,” it will have fans questioning, “What will Oregon do as an encore?”
Senior Quarterback Anthony Brown did just enough for the team to win, but the team really succeeded off the hard running of junior running back CJ Verdell. Verdell, who I highlighted as a player to watch for Dolphins fans, will likely jump in the draft rankings if he continues his impressive performances.
Draft season never starts too early. Here are some players the Miami Dolphins should target in the 2022 NFL draft.
On the defensive side of the ball, likely top-five pick defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux will likely not suit up and the team has also lost top sophomore linebacker, Justin Flowe. However, the team does offer an interesting young secondary headlined by sophomore Mykael Wright.
If Oregon continues to play how they did against Ohio State this past weekend, they should be able to roll past Stony Brook, however, it is never a guarantee in college football. The Ducks could well be on their way to their first college football playoffs since Marcus Mariota was taking snaps at quarterback, but it will be interesting to see how they handle the rest of their schedule this season.
Prospect to watch: Oregon Junior Runningback CJ Verdell
