The 5 most disappointing Miami Dolphins players so far
By Brian Miller
Austin Jackson hasn’t looked good since Miami Dolphins training camp and he didn’t really look all that good during those practices.
Jackson has spent two games thus far opening the door for defenders to cruise into the backfield and collapse the pocket. He is giving them so much time they could stop at the vending machine and get a snack before hitting Miami’s quarterbacks.
Jackson was so bad on Sunday against the Bills that he couldn’t figure out who to block and when he did, he simply got slapped away. On one play he got beat, the QB escaped, and Jackson missed another block on a different defender, resulting in a sack.
Jackson needs to figure it out and the Dolphins shouldn’t rule out moving him to another position along the offensive line. If that doesn’t work out, then yes, the Dolphins should bench him. In all likelihood, Jackson is going to be replaced next year if he doesn’t show positive developmental signs.
