Tua Tagovailoa, for all the off-season negativity that has surrounded him, has done nothing to prove his naysayers wrong or for that matter give much indication that he can develop into the Dolphins franchise QB.

In week one, he had a great opening drive that took the team down the field for a touchdown but he didn’t get back into the end zone until the opening drive of the 3rd quarter. In between those two drives, the Dolphins didn’t do much.

Miami only had 16 first downs in week one against the Patriots and Tua only lasted one full drive on Sunday against the Bills. Should that put him on this list? Of course it should. His availability is a key to his success or failure and while we don’t know what his status is for next week, you have to wonder if he took a mental hit as well.

Tua needs to be more decisive in his decisions and more consistent with his throws. Heralded as an incredibly accurate thrower, Tua was 16 of 27 against New England and only 1-4 against the Bills.
