After a less than stellar start in this one, Miami will need to find some sort of groove if they want to keep up with this Raiders team.

Miami starts with the ball and its drop city yet again for Mike Gesicki which forces the Dolphins to go three and out. Similar to how we have seen this offense in real life, they just can’t seem to get anything going or out of their own way.

Derek Carr makes the Dolphins pay for their lack of rhythm on offense. Carr leads the Raiders down the field for a touchdown after picking up on average about 7 yards a play. He’s spreading the ball out to all of his receivers, including a notable completion to Henry Ruggs who gashed the defense for 25 yards. Carr then hit Waller for the score which increases their lead.

Miami can’t do anything on offense. On 3rd and 5, Brissett is sacked by Maxx Crosby, and the Dolphins punt yet again. It’s starting to feel very similar to last week.

Miami’s defense was a strength of the team last week against Buffalo but can’t seem to stop anything right now. Drake looks like he is playing with a vengeance in this one, averaging about 5 yards a carry and hurting the Dolphins through the air as well. After a few great Drake runs, Carr turns to his favorite receiver, Waller, again and gets the ball into Miami territory. The third quarter comes to an end with the Raiders in possession of the ball on Miami’s 38-yard line.
