Previous: 18th. Los Angeles Chargers. 11. team. 13. . (2-1)

What a day for the Chargers going into Kansas City and coming out with the win. 2nd year quarterback Justin Herbert went in, and outplayed Patrick Mahomes. Herbert finished with 281 yards, 4 touchdowns, and no turnovers. It was by far Herbert’s best game of the year. Another good sign for the Chargers is how well the defense played. They even picked off Mahomes twice. If Herbert can continue to play like this, the Chargers can very well be a playoff team this year.

. (2-1). Previous: 13th. Dallas Cowboys. 12. team. 123

The Cowboys finally put it all together and got their first blowout win of the season. After being in tight games the first two weeks, the Cowboys finally completely outplayed their opponent. Even though it was just the Eagles, it is a step in the right direction. Ezekiel Elliot ran for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Dak Prescott threw for another 3 touchdowns. The Eagles didn’t stand a chance against this explosive offense. The Cowboys are by far looking like the best team in the NFC East so far this season.

45. . (3-0). Previous: 15th. Denver Broncos. 13. team

The Broncos got their first shutout win of the season as they continue their hot start. Teddy Bridgewater played well once again and the defense was dominant. They had a field day going off for 2 interceptions and 5 sacks on rookie Zach Wilson. The Broncos have played great all around so far this year. But they’ve played the Giants, Jaguars, and Jets. You can’t get a much easier start than that. But we will find out how legit the Broncos are this week as they take on the Ravens.

San Francisco 49ers. 14. team. 42. . (2-1). Previous: 13th

The 49ers came so close to upsetting the Packers on Sunday night. But they just left too much time for Aaron Rodgers and the defense didn’t have an answer for it. Despite holding Rodgers to just 261 yards, he still threw for 2 touchdowns and they allowed 100 rushing yards. As for the offense, they were off to a very slow start before scoring 21 points in the second half. If Garoppolo can clean up his turnovers and be more efficient, the 49ers can be an interesting contender.

Previous: 21st. Carolina Panthers. 15. team. 87. . (3-0)

The Panthers red hot start continues as they beat down the Texans 24-9. Sam Darnold continues to look like a whole new quarterback, throwing for 304 yards. Christian McCaffrey went down early on in the game but rookie Chuba Hubbard steeped in nicely rushing for 52 yards. As for the defense, they were dominant all day long allowing just 193 yards and 9 points. They were putting pressure on the quarterback, racking up 4 sacks and a fumble. If this defense can continue to surprise, the Panthers may be a sneaky contender late in the season.

15. . (2-1). Previous: 16th. New Orleans Saints. 16. team

The Saints get a big win in Foxboro. The offense continues to struggle after a hot week one start, but the defense was absolutely dominant in this one. They held rookie Mac Jones to just 270 yards while intercepting him 3 times and sacking him twice. The offense looked alright, Jameis Winston threw for only 128 yards but he did throw for 2 touchdowns. Alvin Kamara also got involved more which is a good sign. If the offense can be more consistent and the defense stays up to its expectations, the Saints can get hot fast.

(1-2). Previous: 22nd. Minnesota Vikings. 17. team. 60.

The Vikings home win over the Seahawks is so huge for them. After losing because of field goals the first two weeks, the Vikings came out and made sure that it wouldn’t happen again. Kirk Cousins went off for 323 yards and 3 touchdowns. While the rushing attack still had 140 yards despite being without Dalvin Cook. It was a heck of a performance to see all around from the Vikings. It will be very interesting to see how they match up with the Browns this week.

team. 59. . (1-2). Previous: 19th. Miami Dolphins. 18

The Dolphins came so close to upsetting the Raiders in Las Vegas but they fell just short. The defense could not slow down the offense at all. The one bright spot was the interception they had off of Derek Carr. The Dolphins offense was inconsistent throughout, but Jacoby Brissett finally did start to get hot in the 4th quarter and taking them into overtime. Despite the loss, it was a promising finish for this Dolphins team who is in must win mode against the Colts.

19. team. 56. . (2-1). Previous: 26th. Cincinnati Bengals

What a game for Joe Burrow and the offense. They went into Pittsburgh and just dominated the Steelers on both sides of the ball. Burrow threw for 3 touchdowns and was not sacked for the first time all season. While the rushing game also came up with 96 yards. The story of the day comes from the Bengals defense. They allowed just 45 rushing yards, came up with 2 interceptions, 4 sacks, and allowed the Steelers to just 10 points. It will be interesting to see if Burrow can continue to be more efficient and keep the turnovers down.

Previous: 14th. Seattle Seahawks. 20. team. 36. . (1-2)

It was a disappointing day from the Seahawks on both sides of the ball. The defense was just absolutely shredded by Kirk Cousins and the Vikings run game all day long. While the offense could not get going at all and they scored just 17 points. The Seahawks clearly do not have the defense they once had and they have other issues as well. Let’s see how they look this week in a tough one against the 49ers.
