2. Miami finally commits to the run

The Miami Dolphins aren’t the worst team at calling run plays with their three-headed monster at offensive coordinator if that is what you want to call it. The Philadelphia Eagles stole Miami’s thunder as the worst called offense in the NFL under first-year head coach Nick Sirianni.

Philly called three running back run plays in their Monday Night Football matchup where they got destroyed by the Dallas Cowboys. And while it was funny to watch, the Dolphins aren’t far off with their play calling.

RB1 Myles Gaskin is averaging 5.1 yards per carry, but Miami still hasn’t decided to commit to the run game. In Week 4, that will change.

Gaskin had 13 carries for 65 yards last week, and this week, look for Gaskin to get around 18-20 carries and for Miami as a team to rush for over 150 yards.

Miami will need to get running back Salvon Ahmed involved in the game plan more as well. Ahmed earned a role this offseason but only saw five snaps last week. That is not a winning formula for the Dolphins.

The Colts have shown this season you can have success in the ground against them, so the Dolphins need to take advantage of that, and they will.
