Brandon Jones did not have a good rookie season in 2020 and disappointed a lot of people. In the offseason, the Dolphins went out and added Jason McCourty and Jevon Holland to help add depth to the safety position. So a lot of people started to write off Jones but he has been a completely different player through the first 3 games of 2021.

Jones has been one of the biggest surprises for the defense so far. He has been all over the field making plays. Racking up 14 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks. His best game of the season was no doubt last Sunday against the Raiders. Jones had 6 tackles and 2 sacks.

Jones is a big reason why the defense was able to bring some pressure and start to slow down the Raiders offense. His blitzing has improved a lot this season, and the Dolphins are noticing that as well.

The Dolphins are counting on Jones to keep this up. In a crowded Safety group, he continues to show up to earn more playing time on the field. The hard work has paid off so far for Jones. The Colts need to account for him on Sunday as he will look to make Carson Wentz to think twice before throwing his way.
