Miami is in line for a touch matchup in this week’s Madden simulation
By Nick Belotto
With the Colts deep in Miami territory, the Dolphins defense finds a bit of rhythm and is able to keep the Colts out of the endzone. Rodrigo Blankenship ends up putting one through the uprights to extend their lead.
Miami’s offense takes over on the 25-yard line and is immediately hit with a holding penalty against Austin Jackson. After a dropped pass by Will Fuller, a poor run by Gaskin, and a good catch and run by Jaylen Waddle, Miami is forced to punt, unable to make up the yards from Jackson’s penalty.
Indianapolis takes over at their own 45-yard line but Miami’s defense holds firm, forcing the Colts to go three and out. After the touchback, Miami takes over and kicks off the drive looking much better than they did earlier in the game. Miami’s offense looks much more balanced on this drive as Brissett is able to connect with Waddle and Fuller for some nice gains and Gaskin is able to do some damage on the ground. On Colt’s 12 yard line, Brissett is able to connect with Fuller for a touchdown to even up the game.
Miami’s defense seems to have figured things out in this one and after letting the Colts get two first downs, hunkers down and keeps them from advancing past the 50-yard line. The Colts punt the ball away with 2:14 left on the clock.
Miami takes over but is unable to really get anything going. The Dolphins drive stalls at the 50-yard line and they are forced to punt the ball away with 37 seconds on the clock. The Colts take the knee and the half ends with the score all tied up. So far, this is much better than the last two weeks!
At the end of the second: Indianapolis 10, Miami 10
