Believe it or not, the Dolphins actually have some good players on the team. You wouldn’t know it by watching their output but that’s because the ones in charge, whose chief duty is to put them in the best positions to succeed are amazingly terrible at doing that. I mean you’d think that after four games these coaches would have lucked into a big play, when it mattered, at least once but you’d be wrong. The same garbage, conservative, identityless offense that we’ve grown accustomed to viewing each and every Sunday for 15+ years is what we are seeing in 2021 and it just numbs the brain because we know the Dolphins have solid to very good players on offense.

Waddle, Fuller, Gesicki, Parker, and even Wilson are very good players that have a skill set that isn’t hard to figure out. It shouldn’t be hard to draw up plays for them. We watch every week other teams get their good players the ball when they need to by scheming them open. Not in Miami. We don’t and never do that. Instead, we keep these good players under wraps until they inevitably leave and do well elsewhere.

I realize the terrible offensive line is part of the blame and I know Brissett isn’t very good. He’s a real paradox because he holds on to the ball for so long but yet still doesn’t throw it downfield. That fact really puts my mind in a pretzel.

But the stupid idea of the co-offensive coordinators but neither of them calling the plays because the quarterback’s coach is actually the one calling the plays or who knows maybe Bill Lazor is still calling the plays has worn thin. In fact, that ridiculous novelty that we all knew was weird needs to straight up go. Why can’t the Dolphins ever just be normal? Is that too much to ask? I guess it is.

Anyway, the Dolphins have these good players and when the next rebuild starts, most of them will be gone. We’ll be lucky to have Waddle on the team in two years.

Another worse part is by the time the offense is ever in order, which is an oxymoron because I’m not convinced that it can ever be in order, we will have wasted the very good players that are currently on defense.
