The Dolphins went 5-11 in 2019, beating the Patriots in New England in the last game of the season and we were all riding high. A team that was built to lose was showing it can actually play. Then in 2020, the Dolphins won 10 games and were very close to going to the playoffs. Again, we thought we were trending in the right direction.

The team was following the flow chart of tear it down > get a little better > surprise folks and win games you shouldn’t maybe even be in the playoff hunt late > take a big step forward and definitely make the playoffs. That’s where this team was supposed to be headed. I know there are 13 games left but making the playoffs isn’t a possibility when you have the worst offense in the league.

More importantly, when Flores got here we thought the shenanigans of bullying situations and coaches skiing with dancers was over. We thought finally there are adults running the team. I can’t say that is true today.

With all the craziness of taking Tua 5th overall and trying to replace him with a guy with 24 or so sexual misconduct charges looming after only 10 starts, to being on your 4th offensive coordinators, to whiffing on high round draft picks all over the place, to getting rid of free agents after one year of service to keeping Jakeem Grant on the team the shenanigans are still here and adults are not running the show.

Like I said in the last slide, I just don’t know why I can’t be a fan of a team that does normal things that could just stay out of the limelight for all the wrong completely avoidable reasons for a few weeks. Why do stupid situations and scenarios always surround this franchise?

And this is the million-dollar question that can’t be answered; how does a team never change when the owner, the management, the coaches, and the players change all the time? The same things happen regardless of who is at the controls. Is it a Miami thing where people just don’t care enough because the weather is so nice? I don’t know what it is and I know it can’t be answered. But it certainly seems that it’s the same old Dolphins once again and now we have to play the defending Super Bowl champions this week. I’m sure that will go well.

BONUS worst thing- My guarantee of the Dolphins beating the Colts didn’t hit. Credit to me for owning that. What’s fascinating to me is that I get told I don’t know anything because I picked a team with better players, who was at home to defeat a team with worse players who were winless. Not sure how that’s an awful pick especially since Las Vegas also agreed with me. But hey, I have broad shoulders. I can take it.
