47. . (1-3). Previous: 21st. New England Patriots. 21. team

The Patriots were in a tight competitive game with the Buccaneers and it went down to the very end. Despite the close loss, the Patriots played very well. Especially Mac Jones who arguably outplayed Tom Brady in his return. He even completed 19 passes in a row at one point. The defense was very good as well, giving the Buccaneers problems all game long to move down the field. It was a good game by the Patriots.

15. . (2-2). Previous: 16th. New Orleans Saints. 22. team

The Saints roller coaster of a season continued in their home loss to the Giants. It was a letdown for the Saints first game back in New Orleans with fans. The offense wasn’t the problem at all, Jameis Winston and Alvin Kamara were leading the way. But it was the defense that couldn’t get it together. They gave up over 400 yards to Daniel Jones and had no answer for Saquon Barkley either. It was an overtime loss, but a game the Saints were expected to win.

55. . (1-3). Previous: 22nd. Pittsburgh Steelers. 23. team

The Steelers downfall continues ever since their upset win over the Bills. There is not much going well for the Steelers after their 3rd straight loss. Ben Roethlisberger continues the struggle, but he is by far not the only problem. The defense was bad once again, and they did not have any way to slow down the Packers offense. The Steelers look like a mess right now so it will be interesting to see if they can turn it around.

57. . (2-2). Previous: 26th. Chicago Bears. 24. team

Justin Fields had a much better game against the Lions than the starting debut he had the week before. He was actually able to move around and do his own thing. Fields had a ton of support from David Montgomery who ran for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns. It was a very promising performance from the Bears as they allowed just 14 points and shut down D’Andre Swift. The Bears look to continue to improve on both sides of the ball.

59. . (1-3). Previous: 18th. Miami Dolphins. 25. team

The Dolphins are an absolute mess right now and they could not have asked for a worse start. The offense is terrible under Jacoby Brissett, and there is no offensive identity at all under the current offensive coordinator situation. The defense has also been disappointing, not looking anything like the top 10 defense they had last year. The Dolphins have many issues, but things should slowly start to get better by getting Tua back after this week.

team. 31. . (1-3). Previous: 29th. New York Giants. 26

The Giants looked like a completely different team in their upset win over the Saints on the road. Daniel Jones and the offense went off and the Saints were not ready for it. Saquon Barkley was also impactful again which is a very good sign for the Giants. The defense wasn’t too good, but good enough. If the Giants can keep things going offensively, they may be an interesting team to watch for.

Previous: 24th. Atlanta Falcons. 27. team. 44. . (1-3)

Matt Ryan finally got it going for the offense coming up with 4 touchdowns, but unfortunately he can’t do it all by himself. The run game was inconsistent, coming up with just 99 total yards. The defense didn’t help at all, they couldn’t slow down Washington at all. It was not a good day for the Falcons besides the good start from Ryan. The Falcons have many issues they need to fix.

. (1-3). Previous: 28th. Philadelphia Eagles. 28. team. 54

The Eagles are making it clear that they still have many issues but one good thing is that Jalen Hurts continues to play well. He had 387 yards and 2 touchdowns while also running for 47 yards. The Eagles need to do more to commit to the run game and not lean on Hurts so much. It would help out a lot in the long run. The defense is still bad, and it looks like it would take an offensive explosion to keep the Eagles in any game this year.

New York Jets. 29. team. 30. . (1-3). Previous: 32nd

The Jets took advantage of the Titans being without AJ Brown and Julio Jones, and they got their first win of the season. It was a heck of a game from the Jets as Zach Wilson looked like a real quarterback for the first time all season. It was a much needed formance that the Jets needed to see from Wilson. It will be interesting to see how the Jets do this week in London after coming out with a win last week.

52. . (0-4). Previous: 31st. Jacksonville Jaguars. 30. team

Well, the positives for the Jaguars this week came last Thursday when Trevor Lawrence and the offense actually put it together. Despite the loss, Lawrence looked much better and they even got the run game involved. But the defense couldn’t slow down Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense at all. The Jaguars are in a big mess right now under Urban Meyer, and it will be interesting to see how they respond.

team. 50. . (0-4). Previous: 27th. Detroit Lions. 31

The Lions had their first awful game of the season. The defense did okay, but was not really able to stop Justin Fields who made his 2nd start. The real problem was the Lions offense. Jared Goff wasn’t able to get going and D’Andre Swift was completely shut down. If the Lions want any chance to compete in games, they need Swift and TJ Hockenson to be involved a lot more.

team. 10. . (1-3). Previous: 30th. Houston Texans. 32

It is clear that the Texans are no doubt the worst team in the league when Tyrod Taylor is not the starter. The offense couldn’t get anything going at all this week against the Bills, being shut out 40-0. The Texans are starting to look like the team we all expected them to be before the season started.
