5. Miami trades a 2023 6th round pick to the Cleveland Browns for linebacker Mack Wilson

Let’s start by saying Miami made a smart move by trading Jakeem Grant to the Chicago Bears for a 2023 6th round pick. Miami should not have even had him on their final 53-man roster, but they learned the hard way again that Grant isn’t a guy they can count on.

With that being said, Miami can get the most out of Grant since his solid year in 2018. Miami should flip the pick they got for trading Grant, the 2023 6th round pick, and send it to the Cleveland Browns for linebacker Mack Wilson.

Wilson has battled some injuries in Cleveland, but Miami has shown they are not afraid of someone with an injury history. Wilson’s injuries and the Browns stacked linebacker room has led to him playing fewer and fewer snaps this season.

Miami was supposed to have an improved linebacker room this season, but after cutting Benardrick Mckinney, and the regression of Jerome Baker, it would not hurt to add another linebacker to the mix.

Wilson would have a chance to learn the defense and get into the starting rotation sooner rather than later. Miami would give him a chance to revive his career while also improving one of the worst units on their roster.
