I’m going with another duo in this one and it’s mostly connected to last week’s performance.

Marvin Jones, Jr.  and Leviska Shenault are the Jaguars’ top receiving threats and both could pose a problem for this defense that is playing so poorly at the moment.

Neither of these receivers have had huge numbers so far this season. This receiver duo, while struggling to get going in this Jaguar offense and with a rookie quarterback, could cause some problems for this defense if they let Shenault and Jones get behind them or make easy catches in front of them.

That doesn’t mean, however, that they aren’t legitimate threats in the passing game and the way Miami’s secondary is playing, they could cause this game to quickly fall out of Miami’s hands. Both Byron Jones and Xavien Howard had terrible games against the Buccaneers and will need a rebound. This receiver duo, while struggling to get going in this Jaguar offense and with a rookie quarterback, could cause some problems for this defense if they let Shenault and Jones get behind them or make easy catches in front of them.

With that being said, limiting these two is completely doable. If Miami’s defensive front can generate some pressure on rookie Trevor Lawrence and force him to throw the ball away or generate a turnover, or two, then the Jaguars might not be able to get their passing game going, taking away their big players at the receiver position. If Howard can get healthy and return to what he was a few weeks ago and Byron Jones can just play better, they could make it hard for these two to get separation that a rookie would be comfortable throwing into.
