Dolphins rookie offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg continues to improve fast. He has had an up and down season so far but the past game against the Buccaneers was by far his best game yet.

Sunday was the first game in the new offensive line experiment, and it worked well for the first time. The big switch was Eichenberg starting at left tackle and Austin Jackson starting at left guard. The switch was made after Jackson has been struggling big time all season long at the left tackle position.

Eichenberg also benefited from the switch. He got a grade of 76.0 from PFF in Week 6, which was the second highest rookie offensive tackle of the week. The 76.0 grade is also his best of his young career so far.

Head coach Brian Flores announced earlier this week that they will be sticking with the same offensive line as last week. So that means Eichenberg will continue to be at left tackle and Jackson at left guard moving forward.

This will be something very interesting to watch for once again this week. The Jaguars defense isn’t that good and the Dolphins may very well have a much improved offensive line this way. Eichenberg should be on the Jaguars radar heading into this game.
