Jaylen Waddle has had an up and down rookie season to this point but he should be more consistent now that Tua Tagovailoa makes his return this week. The teammates from Alabama will need to get that special connection going once again to help save the Dolphins season.

Waddle has gotten a lot of receptions, but not the yards to back it up. It’s very easy to see how the Dolphins offensive coordinators have not been using him in the right way.

In fact, Waddle even leads the whole team in receptions but 2nd in yards. What’s even worse is that he is only averaging 8.6 yards per catch. The offensive coordinators need to open up his abilities and target more down field.

Far too often you see the Dolphins throwing very short passes to Waddle and not allowing him to get far. With Tua back, look for the playbook to open up more. They need to allow Tua to find Waddle deep down the field and get some big plays going on early.

The Jaguars defense isn’t good which makes one thing go the Dolphins way. But they are very thin at receiver tomorrow with Will Fuller and DeVante Parker already out, and Preston Williams being listed as questionable.

The Dolphins desperately need Waddle to step up tomorrow as they will need him badly. He is someone that the Jaguars need to watch out for.
