Round 2: Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia

If you watch the Miami Dolphins play on defense, you see they have a massive hole at linebacker. Their linebackers are arguably the worst linebacker unit in the NFL. It feels weird to say that, especially after Miami traded for Benardrick McKinney.

McKinney was supposed to be Miami’s middle linebacker and paired with Jerome Baker, they were supposed to be a strength of the roster. Well, Miami cut McKinney before the season started, and Baker has taken a significant step backward this year. Baker signed a monster contract extension this offseason, which caused an uproar on Dolphins’ Twitter. And it hasn’t helped since Baker has not been good this year, and he has been injured too.

That is why Miami needs to draft a starting linebacker in the first three rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft. In this mock draft, they get one of my most hated players in the draft, Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean.

Why would you have the Dolphins draft a player you hate? I do not hate his game; I hate how good he is and what he did to my Florida Gators. Dean had an interception for a touchdown and was flying around the field all game.

Dean is undersized, but he reminds me of Devin Bush, who was the No. 10 overall pick. He would become an instant fan favorite with the way he plays the game.
