Raekwon Davis has been every bit of the player Miami Dolphins fans expected when Brian Flores got excited after his name was called. The Dolphins defensive front is much better with him on the field than they are without him.

Combining Davis with Christian Wilkins is a recipe for a stellar defensive front that is designed to give linebackers an easy line against the run. For now, the linebackers are failing but there is no question that Davis and Wilkins are stars in the making.

While Davis is still under contract for the foreseeable future, Wilkins will have to wait for the Dolphins to pick up his 5th year option after this season is over. It is something they should absolutely do but the question is how long will they wait to give him an extension?

Considering the fact that Miami has that fifth year option to use, Miami probably should wait another year to make that contract but there is starting to be little doubt that Wilkins and Davis are developing into a duo that anchor the line for the next five years if not more.
