Emmanuel Ogbah is not only one of the highest rated players on the Miami Dolphins but he is ranking high within the league defensive ends as well.

Ogbah has quietly gone about his season so far despite the fact that after the year he will be a free agent and if the Dolphins want to keep him, they should start negotiations with him now because at his current pace, he will be more expensive after the season.

This is a problem for the Dolphins who could have already locked him up this past off season for a lot cheaper. Ogbah hasn’t said anything about his contract and there are no reports that he will be re-signed or that negotiations have started.

Statistically, Ogbah is having another good year. He has one forced fumble, five sacks, 21 tackles and six passes defensed. That is a great pace with the weaker part of Miami’s schedule coming up.

Ogbah is the Dolphins best edge rusher since Cameron Wake and his work ethic should rub off on rookie Jaelan Phillips. It sets up for a great combination down the road if the Dolphins can get him locked up. He is a player that they should be building around.
