Potentially everyone’s secret favorite player on the team, Zach Sieler, is so damn good. I can’t imagine why this guy, earlier in the year, wasn’t getting more snaps on defense. Sieler is rated as one of the top defensive tackles against the run and is genuinely one of the toughest guys on the team. My reasoning for that claim is that he reminds me of what really good defenses have on their defensive line. He’s a tough-as-nails brute that uses his strength to overwhelm you. Sieler is the type of guy who has earned the right to have Jules’s wallet from Pulp Fiction. In fact, he better have that wallet.

But let’s not act like this guy is only about muscle. He knows how to use the most important part of his body and that’s his mind. On the Jet’s second drive they ran a Philly Special type play and Sieler sniffed it out, got into coverage, and defended a pass that was head to Wilson. It saved four points and sort of woke the Dolphin’s defense up from their slumber.

Then later in the game, he did this.

Sieler has a motor that just doesn’t quit. There are guys in the league that has been blessed with athleticism that makes life easy for them. To me, Sieler has been blessed with the willingness to keep going when it appears it’s time to stop. That’s what I love about him. The Dolphins would be wise to get this guy on the field a bit more in the final three games. It seems like good things happen when they do.
