The Denver Broncos are another team that is playing the quarterback limbo, however, there is a massive difference between them and the other teams. The Broncos would be a Super Bowl contender with the right quarterback in place.
Call it the Peyton Manning situation all over again, but Denver has a roster worthy of being considered a Super Bowl talent. It’s just difficult cycling between Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater. Not to say that they are not good quarterbacks, but they won’t win you Super Bowls.
The Broncos are rumored to go after the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson and could be an instant Super Bowl favorite with a move for either one. But for now, the team is likely to target someone who can replace fan favorite and former Super Bowl MVP Von Miller.
Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd would fit in instantly on a defense already featuring a few Pro-Bowl caliber players. Lloyd’s ability to rush the passer, cover, and play the run would give Vic Fangio yet another strong defensive playmaker.
If the Broncos can keep this pick while getting a quarterback, Lloyd would be a massive addition. If they are not able to keep the pick, getting an elite quarterback would make John Elway do flips.
