Pick Analysis. OT. 1. 52. Scouting Report. Alabama. EvanNeal. player

Could the Jaguars go with any of the top players here? The answer is yes. This roster is horrendous and has holes at basically every position outside of quarterback and running back.

First, the team will need to hire a new head coach after the fiasco that was Urban Meyer. The team did surprisingly decide to stick with general manager Trent Baalke, but they should be able to make that make sense.

At the top, the team could go with either of the top-two defensive ends – Michigan’s Aiden Hutchinson or Oregon’s Kayvon Thibodeaux – or the top offensive tackle on the board in Alabama’s Evan Neal.

After taking Trevor Lawrence first overall last year, the Jags must choose to protect their young franchise quarterback. The team can even look at their own division rivals’ handling of Andrew Luck to see what happens when you fail to protect the supposed future of your franchise.

With Lawrence at the helm, James Robinson and Travis Etienne manning the backfield, and a trio of Laviska Shenault, Marvin Jones Jr., and Jamal Agnew at wideouts, the Jaguars could offer an interesting young offense that could excite any possible head coach. Although they must protect Lawrence to make anything come to fruition.
