123. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Florida State. 30. JermaineJohnson. player

Dallas was expected to be one of the better teams in all of football and sport one of the best offenses in the entire league. Although Dak Prescott finally looked the part after the 56-to-14 dismantling of the Washington Football Team, a game where he three for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns, the offense has not looked altogether the entire defense.

On the flip side, Jerry Jones has finally put together a defense that can contain anyone. Micah Parsons not only looks like the Defensive Rookie of the Year, but he has a resume that could be argued for Defensive Player of the Year. At corner, Trevon Diggs has 11 interceptions on the season, he’s allowing a boatload of yards, but he’s giving his offense a chance to produce.

Those two stand out, but the entire defense is coming week in and week out producing for this team. The defense gives Dallas a legit shot at being Super Bowl contenders if the offense can produce.

So why not keep building the defense?

Selecting Florida State EDGE Jermaine Johnson with the 30th pick would be a steal. He’s a name that’ll likely shoot up draft boards once the draft rolls around.

The ACC defensive player of the year wreaked havoc for an awful Florida State team. Imagine what he could do with Parson, Randy Gregory, and Demarcus Lawrence on his side?

Dallas actually has a Super Bowl contending team, now it’s time to build and preserve that.
