Scouting Report. Georgia. GeorgePickens. 31. player. Pick Analysis. WR. 124

After looking like fish out of water, the Kansas City Chiefs were put back in the water and now look like apex predators. Similar to the Cowboys, the Chiefs defense is stepping up weekly and producing for the team.

Who even remembers when the defense was so bad that Patrick Mahomes and the offense had to make up for every single mistake? I don’t it feels like another season ago.

While the defense has stepped up there has been something noticeable about the Chiefs offense that is missing. It isn’t the run game, that ebbs and flows weekly. It’s missing a 50-50 wideout outside of Travis Kelce.

The team tried the idea with Josh Gordon, a plan that hasn’t worked, and prior that with Sammy Watkins, who did cook in their Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers. Adding George Pickens would give Mahomes and Andy Reid a 6-foot-3 wideout that can take the top off of defenses.

Adding Pickens would give the team the wide receiver two outside of Tyreek Hill that they have not gotten from Mecole Hardman. If teams choose to single-man cover Pickens with no safety help, Mahomes will be able to just send high balls his way.

Make a dominant offense even more dominant.
