Pick Analysis. LeonardFournette. player. Scouting Report. RB. LSU. 7. 48

Leonard Fournette is the first of two current Tampa Bay Buccaneers running backs on this list. Of the two he’s the more proven and likely more reliable one. Which also makes him less likely to hit free agency.

After being selected fourth overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017, Fournette helped the team make an AFC Championship game in 2018. Fast forward to 2020 and he was not only cut by the Jaguars after butting heads with the organization, but he signed on to play for the Buccaneers alongside Tom Brady.

After essentially playing second fiddle to the next name on this list, Fournette took over as the workhorse and helped the team win the Super Bowl. Not only did he win his ring, but he gained the nickname “Playoff Lenny.”

This season Fournette has completely taken over as the Bucs top running back, however, his regular season was ended in week 15 with a hamstring injury against the New Orleans Saints. Although there is uncertainty of when Fournette is set to return from his hamstring injury, according to NBC Sports’ Peter King.

Fournette has proven that he has the ability to be a lead back for any team with his ability to be a power back and a pass-catching back, something the Miami Dolphins need. Although he’s going up in age and has some injury concerns, he’d be an immediate upgrade. However, it is unlikely he will hit free agency so let’s take a look at another Bucs running back that’s more likely to test the market.
