DeVante Parker

There is plenty of speculation about DeVante Parker’s future in Miami. He is the longest tenured Dolphins player, and has been one of the most reliable targets for the team through multiple quarterbacks and regime changes. A late bloomer, his best years have come later in his career, and is an asset to the offense as long as he stays healthy.

But we could be watching his last game in a Dolphins uniform this Sunday. Miami is undoubtedly looking to get younger at the wide receiver position, and Parker carries a hefty price tag and salary cap hit. Like Gesicki, his future may have already been decided, but one last productive game could help his cause. The offense has revolved much around Jaylen Waddle over the course of the season, and should be again as he chases the rookie catch record. But that could pull some of the attention away from Parker, against a defense that he has done well against historically.

A big game from Parker could also mean a big game from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who himself may be putting on one last showcase before an important off season. If the two are able to create a consistent connection on Sunday, then the Dolphins will have a good chance of capturing a victory.
