Jameson Williams – WR – Alabama

There are going to be very few sure-fire wide receivers taken in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but Jameson Williams will likely be one of them. One of the top two wideout prospects in this year’s class, Williams is a First-Team All American who put up some serious numbers in his junior season at Alabama. Catching passes from Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Bryce Young, Williams amassed over 1500 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2021.

The future of the Miami Dolphins offense is in serious limbo, but there could be an obvious vacancy at wide receiver should the team move on from DeVante Parker. If the team is willing to use their first round pick on a skill position player, then teaming the speedy Williams up with Jaylen Waddle would be a deadly duo for whoever ends up throwing them the ball next season.

Depending on which direction the Dolphins decide to head in with their off season, it would be quite a surprise to see them use their only first round selection on a wide receiver. There will certainly be holes to fill here and there in the wideout room, but there are much bigger fish to fry if Miami wants to improve their team and chances quickly. Look for Miami to use its first round pick to either shore up the offensive line or bolster the linebacking unit.
